Lutheran Campus Mission Association offers a range of campus ministry services and resources developed to help you start and grow new campus ministries, connect with incoming students from Lutheran congregations, provide a rich and relevant faith life experience, and reach out to your campus community. These services and resources include
- StudentConnect, a service designed to help students, parents, and high school youth
ministers connect with campus ministry workers where a student will be
attending college. You provide a way to contact you; we’ll route it
securely and confidentially to a campus worker, who will then be in
touch with you.
- Underground Servant Gatherings. Undergrounds are week-long events at which students and leaders from campus ministries across the United States work together with a local congregation to reach out to its surrounding community. Typical activities include construction, repair, and cleanup, as well as interaction with families, children, seniors, and special needs individuals in the community. Undergrounds are held during Christmas and spring breaks.
- Leadership and outreach training opportunities. Online, on-site, and hands-on opportunities are available (in addition to our Undergrounds) for training in ministry leadership and effective witnessing. These range from our CROSS Training courses to Peer Ministry Conferences to missionary work as part of our Peer Missionary Volunteer program.
- One-on-one Consultation. Since its beginnings, Lutheran Campus Mission Association has provided face-to-face mentoring and encouragement for districts, congregations, and student groups desiring to start, grow, or revitalize ministry and outreach on nearby college or university campuses.
- Spiritual growth resources. Browse the Bible study, devotional and cultural awareness links in our "Grow" section (browse often, because we update them from time to time). We invite you to suggest resources and links too.
- A growing Social Networking Community. We know the power and blessing of being together as followers of Jesus; it allows us to be truly connected to each other as the body of Christ and provides unique ways for the Holy Spirit to move among us. Technology is providing new ways of staying connected; that’s why you can interact with us on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. And as the world of social networking changes, we’ll work hard to keep up wherever keeping up is practical.
- Media, links, and resources of all kinds selected to enhance a student’s devotional experience or provoke thought and awareness in the follower of Jesus Christ.
