Leadership resources

Guidelines for working with university students. Advice from leaders with plenty of experience working with college-age young adults. Well worth the read.
Campus ministry survey. Every college and university campus is unique. This survey is intended to help you to become more familiar with the needs and perspectives of the campus you serve or will serve.
Lutheran Campus Mission Association overview brochure Downloadable color tri-fold brochure you can use to promote Lutheran Campus Mission Association and the national LCMS campus ministry community.

Articles

Church Contention and Young Adults. LCMS pastor Jeff Cloeter offers insight into the potential for young adults in LCMS congregations to help the church shrug off its long heritage of "disharmony." Check out the other articles in Cloeter's "The Church and the YA" section of the LCMS Young Adult Ministry Web site.
Creating a Lutheran Home at Harvard, The Lutheran Witness online, March 2009.
Campus Ministries: Challenges and Opportunities, ISSUES in Christian Education, Spring 2006. Entire issue is devoted to campus ministry topics.
Campus Pastors Provide Vital Ministry, FOCUS (Concordia Seminary, St. Louis), Spring 2006, 20-22.
Anguish and Assurance on Campus, The Lutheran Witness, August 2005, 8-11.

Bible study

Lutheran Hour Ministries' 'Men's NetWork' Bible studies. Right, this site is called Men's NetWork, and it's true, some of the Bible studies offered are aimed specifically at men. Guys, it's okay to be the exclusive consumers of studies like He Who Dies with the Most Toys... Still Dies. On the other hand, studies like How We Got the Bible and Out of Nothing: The Word, Creation, and Faith are hard-hitting adult studies that will challenge either gender, from any generation. More studies are being added all the time. You can view these studies online for free! There's no obligation.

Bible studies from the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML). An impressive archive of Bible studies on an array of topics, previously published in the Lutheran Women's Quarterly, which is also worth a look (selections from LWQ are available online; subscriptions to the full hard copy version are available).

Bible sites

Bible Gateway. Great site with a variety of translations, free resources, and book offers.
Study Light. Lesser known than Bible Gateway, studylight.org also offers a great collection of valuable resources and discussions, as well as a few translations not found at Bible Gateway. A great site for going in-depth!
Youversion. Another great Bible site with a variety of translations—also including a couple not found at the other sites—for example, the New English Translation (NET) and the Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB). An interesting array of resources and interactive tools as well. Also a good site for the serious student.
